Hello & Welcome

Here’s the thing.

Starting and running a business can be overwhelming. Being mindful of the “bigger picture” while dealing with everyday tasks can often be challenging to manage independently. This is especially true if you’re dealing with a chronic condition that makes certain days more difficult than others. That’s where I come in.

My name is Kristy (she/her). I’ve been working as a Virtual Assistant for 5 years, helping individuals & business owners handle their overwhelm with my expertise. I know a thing or two about managing a heavy workload while overcoming a chronic condition as someone who has continuously battled Lyme Disease since 2017.

As someone who previously worked in account management & sales for over a decade, I know what it means to work hard and for a purpose. I obtained excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple high-priority tasks at once. Having pivoted from helping companies with their needs to helping individuals with theirs, I developed a passion for serving and for people, and am excited to bring that to this business.

At LYME Your Virtual Assistant, I offer both personal and professional administrative services to a specific niche of individuals struggling with Lyme Disease or chronic illness. Even small tasks such as scheduling an appointment can feel like a mountain to climb on a day when you are feeling unwell.   My priority is to give you the space to focus on the important, revenue-producing activities for your business and prioritize your health by taking the more tedious tasks off of your plate.

Let me help you maintain a work/life/health balance.

How I Can Help You

Wondering how a Virtual Assistant can fit into your business and life? Here are just a few of the things I can help you with:

calendar.png

Calendar Management

It’s essential to be on top of your calendar, both professionally and personally. But this can also require effective use of time to coordinating calls, make appointments, and create reminders for those appointments.

Other Tasks: Data Entry & Research, Client & Vendor Liaison, Document, Forms & Presentation Creation

Email.png

Email, Contact Management and Communications

Your inbox may never get to zero, but as a VA, I can help you manage your inbox by screening emails as necessary, responding to inquiries, sending follow-up emails, adding people to your contact lists, CRM management, and communicating with clients accordingly.

Business Development

Putting in the time to research leads on LinkedIn, finding email addresses to contact, and doing presentations are repetitive tasks that can take up a lot of valuable time during the day. As a VA, I can help with these smaller picture tasks while you focus on making personal connections.

Project Management

When it comes to projects, schedules, and timelines there are a lot of deadlines and dates to keep track of. I have the expertise to manage these deadlines, communicate them, and keep details organized through the latest CRM or task management software.

Accounting

It can feel like a chore to send invoices, tracking down a payment, communicating with vendors/bookkeepers/tax preparers, keeping track of insurance/loan dues and paying the bills. With a VA, it doesn’t have to be.

Personal Errands

You’re a business owner or entrepreneur, but you have a personal life filled with family and friends, too. Living with a chronic illness can be arduous just trying to make it through the day. Making restaurant reservations, creating online grocery lists, managing hobbies, medical appointments, research gifts or party ideas, planning travel/family vaca and paying personal bills are simple tasks that a VA can help you with.

Benefits of hiring a VA

Hiring a VA allows you to focus on what really matters in your business

You have meetings with potential clients, an overflowing inbox, and calendar. You are also wondering what to make your family for dinner tonight. You also know that it’s important to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle on top of everything else. That’s a lot to deal with, especially if you’re also dealing with a chronic illness.

Suppose managing your business, to-do lists, and illness seems like an overwhelming feat on your own. In that case, you might find yourself behind on the things you need to do for your business.

A Virtual Assistant can help with the repetitive administrative, business development, project management, and marketing tasks that take up a lot of time during the day.

I can even help tackle personal errands like making doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping, or pay bills.

Delegating those repetitive tasks to a VA can add more precious, productive hours to your day. In addition to helping manage your workload and energy levels during the day, working with a VA allows you more time with your loved ones. Getting more free time will enable you to function better and avoid suffering from burnout.

"Kristy started with us 4 months ago, when our business was growing out of control. Our TO-DO list was a mile long, I didn’t have the energy or computer skills to attack this list. Kristy jumped in as our virtual assistant, installed software to help us get organized, built a system in which we onboard clients, formed documents to help our clients, organized them for me to understand, hired, let go, all while training me on how to use all of these new systems. Kristy is patient, hard-working, and empathetic. Kristy understood my business and how it worked to help my clients and me become more successful!

Kristy was a wonderful help to our company, she is a wealth of information and has amazing organizational skills!"

~ Jill -- Owner at Underdogs Long Beach

“Kristy was an integral part of scheduling for appointments. She’s very mature and pleasant on the phone. We and our clients valued her contribution.”

My Story

thumbnail (1).png

While working in a traditional office environment with a boss and fellow colleagues, I found myself simply getting through the day interacting with others and doing my work. I would often struggle through meetings, phone calls, and would find myself having to fake a smile in order to face the world every day. Covering up my daily struggle with Lyme Disease was exhausting, and I wouldn’t speak about it for fear of being judged.

I began to think, if I’m struggling with this, then there must be other people who work with this, too. Our post-pandemic world demonstrates how prevalent chronic conditions and symptoms can disrupt your daily life. As we navigate health after COVID-19, many survivors have noticed long-term effects. Through my fight, I have learned just how much strength it takes for someone to make it through the workday while living with lingering or detrimental symptoms.

I was inspired to begin LYME Your Virtual Assistant to be there for others so they don’t feel ashamed that they aren’t feeling well and are fighting with symptoms daily. Still, they want to be productive human beings and work. Everyone has certain times or days where they need some assistance with their workload.

As a Virtual Assistant, I take admin and personal errands off the plates of my clients so they can focus on other priorities or getting rest and getting better. I am there for those with Lyme Disease and chronic illness who feel as though they have fallen behind.

It truly makes me feel fulfilled to help others take control of their business, personal lives, and chronic illness - as someone who can understand.
